we know that the sun is the biggest natural source of heat and light on Earth. This light and heat is called solar energy. since the sun is very for away from the Earth we get only a small amount of solar energy without sun  our earth would be dark and cold.

solar energy

solar energy is important for all living thing because it helps them perform their life activities. plants use solar energy to prepare their food which is than used by all other living organisms. so life cannot exist without Solar energy. solar energy also makes water always available to us because it maintains the quantity of water in all resources through controling the water cycle.

The habitat

The habitat of living organism is a place where it can Live, grow and reproduce. The habitat contains all the conditions necessary for the survival of plants, animals, and other living things.

This means the habitat provides food home , light and water to a living organism .

Different type of habitats for living things

different living organism live in different kind of Habitats according to their needs. Each Habitat is the home for many kind of animals and plants. polar regions, land Habitat, water Habitat, and coastal Habitat are some common Habitats.

 polar region

These are the coldest places on earth which remain covered in ice all the time. Due to very low temperature, only few plants and animal are found in this haregions

Following are the main features of Polar polar regions.

polar regions are situated at the two poles :- the north and the South poles they have long winters as the sun does not Shine all the time. Summer are very short as the sun appears for a short duration. walrus( sea lions), pigeons, Polar Bear and Arctic fox are some animals of these regions. Algea and lichen are not plants, they are symbiotic  organism and also coarse grass grows grow in these regions.

 Land habitat

The living places of animals and plants on the surface of earth are called land Habitats.

Types of land Habitat include forest deserts and grasslands. forest are the areas where a last number of plants trees and shrubs grow,so forests provide habitat to many plants amd animals.some main features of the forest habitat are given below:-

Trees and plants which grow in the forest areas include sandal wood  and cedar, pine, fir sheesh am,poplar, acacia and few fruits trees.

Deserts:-

deserts are mostly Sandy, hot and dry areas. Deserts  nights are relatively cold. Following are the main features of a desert habitat:-

one third of the earth consistsof deserts.

Desert are the mostly hot places, but cold deserts are also found.

 Deserts have very less vegetations.

hot deserts  experience very less rains,so few plants nd animals can live there.

Hawas ,camels, ostriches, lizards, and scorpions are few deserts animals.

Cactus ,suguaro, and date palm are some deserts plants.

Grasslands

A wide area which covered by grass and bushes is called a grassland. Many types of grass grow.there with few trees. Grasslands are the habitat of various animals such as deer, alephant ,zebra, etc.

Water habitat

The water reservoirs present on earth make up the water Habitat. Various plant and animals are found in water. Many type of animals like fish sea horse, and frog live in water. Like the land Habitat, there are many type of water Habitat.

Freshwater Habitat

rivers, lakes, pound stream etc are included in freshwater habitats. Animals like frog and fish and plants like water lilys and lockets are found in freshwater habitat the main feature of the fresh water Habitat are given below in Pakistan the river Indus and it is Chenab Ravi are the habitat of many animals and plants fresh water has different type of fish and birds like and flow etc live in or near fresh water bodies.
